The ingredients needed to make Fafda:
  1. Make ready 1 cup besan
  2. Prepare 1/4 cup rice flour
  3. Get 2 tbsp oil(preferably warm)
  4. Prepare As per taste salt
  5. Make ready 1 tsp carrom seeds
  6. Take 1 pinch papad khar(if not available use cooking soda)
Instructions to make Fafda:
  1. Sieve all the dry mixtures together. Add oil and mix. It should look crumbly. Add a little water and knead a smooth and soft dough.
  2. Divide the dough into 12 equal parts. Take a wooden chopping board and grease it well. Take the dough and make it a little cylindrical in shape. Keep elongated over the wooden board and run our palm over it stretching it all to the end.
  3. Drop this fafda in a medium-hot oil and cook well till it turns golden in colour and crisp from both sides.
  4. Serve them as evening snacks with jalebis and tea.
