Hummus is one of the most well liked of current trending foods on earth. It’s simple, it’s quick, it tastes yummy. It is enjoyed by millions every day. They are nice and they look wonderful. Hummus is something that I have loved my whole life.

To get started with this recipe, we must prepare a few components. You can have hummus using 8 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Hummus:
  1. Make ready dry chick peas
  2. Get garlic cloves
  3. Prepare tahini
  4. Make ready freshly squeezed lemon juice
  5. Get extra virgin olive oil
  6. Make ready cumin
  7. Take Generous dash of salt and ground white pepper to taste
  8. Take Paprika (or za’atar), extra virgin olive oil, parsley (optional) to serve
Steps to make Hummus:
  1. Rinse chick peas until water is clear. Soak for at least 8 hours.
  2. Change water and boil for 2 hours until chick peas are tender and not crumbly. Save approx. 3/4 cup of cooking water and discard the rest. Add ice cubes to rapidly cool down the chick peas and cooking water.
  3. Drain chick peas and put in a food processor.
  4. Remove and discard germ from garlic, if present. Roughly chop garlic.
  5. Add to chick peas the garlic, tahini, oil, lemon juice, cumin, salt, white pepper and 1/2 cup of cooking water.
  6. Purée until smooth. Add more cooking water to reach the desired consistency.
  7. Transfer to a serving bowl. Sprinkle sweet paprika and drizzle more olive oil. Enjoy!
