The ingredients needed to make Ragi Malt:
  1. Prepare 1 tbsp ragi flour
  2. Prepare 1 1/2 cup water
  3. Take 2 cups buttermilk
  4. Get to taste Salt
  5. Take 1/4 tsp roasted cumin powder
  6. Take 1/8 tsp asafoetida (hing)
  7. Get 6-7 curry leaves
  8. Take 1 tbsp chopped onion
  9. Take 1 tsp fresh coriander leaves
Instructions to make Ragi Malt:
  1. Heat one cup of water in a pan. Meanwhile mix ragi flour in the remaining 1/2cup of water, without lumps. Once the water comes to a rolling boil, slowly add the ragi mixture to the boiling water.
  2. Cook for 2-3 mints, stirring continuously to avoid the formation of lumps. Remove the pan from heat & let this mixture cool completely. Slowly add the cooled ragi mixture in buttermilk & whisk nicely. Add all other ingredients & mix well.
  3. Add more water if the drink is too thick. Chill for a few hours before serving. Garnishing with fresh coriander leaves serve it.
