The ingredients needed to make Sesame Gajak:
  1. Prepare 1/2 cup sesame
  2. Take 1/2 cup jaggery
  3. Get 4 tbsp sp pure ghee
  4. Make ready 4 tbsp sp water
  5. Take 8-10 raisins
Steps to make Sesame Gajak:
  1. Roast sesame in a heavy bottomed karahi till slightly brown or an aroma comes. Roast it on low flame. It takes 3-4 minutes. Keep aside and Let it cool.
  2. Now grease a thali thoroughly and keep aside.
  3. Grind jaggery in a mixer. It will turn out as a lump. Heat ghee in a pan. Add jaggery and add 2 tbsp water and keep stirring till jaggery dissolves completely. Keep stirring till it turn thick.
  4. Now add ground sesame seeds and mix it very well. Switch off the flame.
  5. Immediately transfer this mixture to the greased thali and spread it evenly with the help of back of a katori. Place raisins and press down lightly on the mixture with the help of spatula.
  6. Take a knife and mark cuts horizontally and vertically when it is still warm. Now allow it to cool down.
  7. Cool and store it in a air tight jar.
