How to Make Favorite Fafda

Hey everyone, I hope you are having an incredible day today. Today, I will show you a way to prepare a special dish, fafda. One of my favorites food recipes. For mine, I will make it a bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Fafda is one of the most favored of current trending meals in the world. It’s simple, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. It is enjoyed by millions every day. They are nice and they look wonderful. Fafda is something which I have loved my whole life.

To get started with this recipe, we have to prepare a few components. You can cook fafda using 10 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Fafda:
  1. Prepare 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  2. Prepare 1/2 tsp carom seeds
  3. Make ready 10 crushed black pepper
  4. Make ready 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  5. Take As per taste Salt
  6. Take 1 pinch asfoetida
  7. Get 1/4 tsp baking soda
  8. Take 2 tbsp oil
  9. Prepare As Required Water
  10. Take As Required Oil for frying
Steps to make Fafda:
  1. Take a bowl then add gram flour, turmeric powder, carom seeds, salt, black pepper, baking soda, asafoetida, and oil. Mix it well.
  2. Now add water little by little and make a soft dough. When the water is absorbed, the stickiness will go away and you will get a soft dough. So knead till you get a soft smooth dough. Cover and keep aside the dough for 30 minutes.
  3. After 30 minutes, make small balls from the dough. Cover them with a kitchen towel so that they do not become dry. Now on a wooden board place the dough and roll it and make a cylindrical shape.
  4. Now with the heels of your palms, with light pressure and force, press and flatten the dough ball and at the same time move the palms forward.  If you apply too much pressure then fafda will stick to the board.
  5. Now heat oil the in the pan. Now place the fafda into the hot oil. And fry it on low to medium flame till it's become golden brown in colour from both sides.
  6. Your fafda is ready. Serve it hot with besan chutney or green chutney or imly chutney. Enjoy!
