Take 1 kg beef
Prepare 1 kg pishori rice
Make ready 5 large onions
Make ready 1 clove garlic
Make ready 2 tbs cummin seeds(whole)

Instructions to make Beef Pilau:
Boil the meat so as to soften it
As you wait for the meat to boil, start cutting the onions, heat the cummin seeds and then grind, grind the garlic..
After the meat has boil, put it in a separate bowl…. Put oil in the sufuria
Let the oil heat, then add the onions
Let the onions cook till they change the color and add the garlic… Stir and let it cook for some minutes… By this time the onions would have changed color to golden brown
At this point, add the meat and stir….
Add the grounded cummin seeds
Stir well for the mixture to mix well
Give it some few minutes
Add salt and stir
Add the washed rice and stir
Add water till it covers the rice
At this point make sure the heat is not too much…
After 10 minutes, stir again and cover
Reduce the heat and let it cook for the remaining minutes…
When ready, serve with Pilipili Ya kukaanga or kachumbari
