Pilau is one of the most popular of current trending meals on earth. It’s appreciated by millions every day. It’s easy, it is fast, it tastes yummy. They’re fine and they look wonderful. Pilau is something which I’ve loved my entire life.

To get started with this recipe, we must prepare a few ingredients. You can have pilau using 6 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Pilau:
  1. Prepare 1/2 kg lamb
  2. Make ready 2 cups rice
  3. Prepare 50 gms pilau whole spices
  4. Take 5 big cloves of garlic, minced
  5. Prepare 1 cube ginger, minced

Instructions to make Pilau:
  1. Cook your meat until it's tender
  2. In a separate pan, prepare your spices by roasting them in medium heat and make sure to break open your cardamoms.
  3. When it begins to turn slightly brown and pilau masala aroma can be perceived, switch off your source of heat then grind the spices into fine powder.
  4. When your meat is well done, add in oil and let it dry in the oil until the outer part is slightly crunchy.
  5. Add in onions and the ginger garlic mince. Let it cook until the onions are brown because that's what will give your pilau the good brown color.
  6. Add in your ground spices and mix well then add your rice (washed or not is a personal choice) then add water a double portion of your rice.
  7. Let it cook on high heat then once it boils, reduce the heat and cover for about ten minutes or until your rice is well done.
  8. Serve with guacamole or kachumbari.
