The ingredients needed to make Vegetarian Pilau:
  1. Make ready 2 cups rice(washed and drained)
  2. Take 3-4 cups boiled water
  3. Make ready 10 gms Pilau masala
  4. Make ready 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  5. Prepare 1 1/4 cups boiled peas
  6. Prepare 1 handful raisins/sultanas
  7. Make ready 50 g tomato paste
  8. Take 2 tomatoes (sliced)
  9. Take 2 onions (chopped)
  10. Get Cooking oil for frying
Instructions to make Vegetarian Pilau:
  1. In a cooking pan, heat the oil, add the onions. Cook till translucent. Add the tomatoes. Cook till they form a paste.
  2. Add in the spices, salt, soy sauce and tomato paste. Stir in the peas and dried fruits and let simmer for 2 minutes.
  3. Add in the drained rice and stir thoroughly. Pour in the water and stir to mix in.
  4. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer and cover. Cook till all water dries up.
  5. Serve hot with veggies and or preferred stew.
