The ingredients needed to make Fafda:
  1. Take 1 cup gram flour
  2. Get 1/2 tsp carom seeds
  3. Prepare 1/4 tsp baking soda
  4. Prepare 1 tbsp oil
  5. Prepare to taste Salt
  6. Prepare 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  7. Get as needed Oil for frying
  8. Take as needed water to knead dough
Instructions to make Fafda:
  1. Combine the all ingredients in a deep bowl and mix well. Now add water as required and knead the dough. Fafda1. Knead for 6 to 7 minutes or till the dough turns soft and smooth.add a tsp oil and coat the dough well.cover and rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Knead again for a minute making sure the dough is soft. - pinch a ball sized dough and make a cylindrical shape. - on a wooden board place the dough and stick one side.press and stretch it thin with the help of palms in forward direction.
  3. Scrape off with the help of knife without damaging the fafda.
  4. Heat the oil in a pan and deep fry till turns crispy but not brown. You can deep fry 2-3 fafdas at a time. Drain on an absorbed paper.
  5. Cool slightly and serve with besan chutney.
