Hello everybody, it is Brad, welcome to my recipe page. Today, I’m gonna show you how to make a special dish, hummus. One of my favorites. This time, I will make it a little bit tasty. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

Hummus is one of the most well liked of current trending foods on earth. It’s enjoyed by millions every day. It is easy, it is quick, it tastes delicious. They’re fine and they look wonderful. Hummus is something that I’ve loved my entire life.

To get started with this particular recipe, we must prepare a few components. You can have hummus using 8 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Hummus:
  1. Prepare 1 cup dry chick peas
  2. Take 2 garlic cloves
  3. Take 1/2 cup tahini
  4. Get 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  5. Take 1/8 cup extra virgin olive oil
  6. Take 1 Tbsp cumin
  7. Take Generous dash of salt and ground white pepper to taste
  8. Make ready Paprika (or za’atar), extra virgin olive oil, parsley (optional) to serve
Instructions to make Hummus:
  1. Rinse chick peas until water is clear. Soak for at least 8 hours.
  2. Change water and boil for 2 hours until chick peas are tender and not crumbly. Save approx. 3/4 cup of cooking water and discard the rest. Add ice cubes to rapidly cool down the chick peas and cooking water.
  3. Drain chick peas and put in a food processor.
  4. Remove and discard germ from garlic, if present. Roughly chop garlic.
  5. Add to chick peas the garlic, tahini, oil, lemon juice, cumin, salt, white pepper and 1/2 cup of cooking water.
  6. Purée until smooth. Add more cooking water to reach the desired consistency.
  7. Transfer to a serving bowl. Sprinkle sweet paprika and drizzle more olive oil. Enjoy!
