To get started with this recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook pilau using 17 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Pilau:
  1. Take 2.5 cups rice/pishori or basmati
  2. Make ready 1 big or 2medium onions
  3. Take 5 pcs cloves
  4. Prepare 1 big cinnamon stick
  5. Prepare 5 pcs elachi/iliki/cadammon
  6. Make ready 1.5 tspn whole Cummins/jeera
  7. Make ready 1 tspn whole black pepper

  11. Get Half tomato peeled,dania chopped,half green pepper cut. Optional
  12. Make ready Half kilo boiled beef/chicken
  13. Prepare Potato half kilo
  14. Get 5 cloves garlic and 1cm ginger crushed
  15. Get 4.5-5 cups or more water or stock depends with the rice
  16. Take 1/4 cup Oil
  17. Make ready Salt
Steps to make Pilau:
  1. Fry onions till light brown.
  2. Add whole spices then boiled meat and potatoes.Then add Garam masala and the rest of the spices.Add your stock let it boil.
  3. Add rice then cover either with makaa or mfuko or foil then lower the heat cook until it dries.
  4. Serve with salad,pickles,juice.
