To begin with this particular recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook ragi gur papdi using 6 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Ragi Gur Papdi:
  1. Get 1 cup ragi (nachini)flour
  2. Take 1/2 cup ghee
  3. Prepare 3/4 cup finely grated jaggery
  4. Get 2 tbsp dry dates (kharek) powder ready available
  5. Prepare To garnish:
  6. Take As required Raw fennel seeds (snauf) coarse powder
Steps to make Ragi Gur Papdi:
  1. In a thick bottom, Kadai adds and melt ghee. Add ragi flour. Mix and saute stirring constantly on the slow flame(if needed add little ghee) till a nice roasted aroma comes. It will take about 8-10 minutes. Off the flame.
  2. Remove from flame. Cool the roasted ragi mixture for 1 minute.
  3. Now add grated jaggery and dry dates powder and quickly mix it.
  4. Pour this ragi- jaggery mixture in a square tin. Sprinkle fennel seeds coarse powder. Level it with the back of Katori.
  5. After few minutes cut in desired square pieces while it's still warm.
  6. Cool and store in an airtight container. Serve/ relish delicious Ragi Gur Papdi at tea time.
